Homezee — Customised Lighting Shop
Homezee sells customised and vibe lighting online. We ran a full SEO programme — technical fixes, link building, and content — to grow their organic reach and bring in a consistent stream of new buyers.
Homezee had a genuine product niche — customised and aesthetic vibe lighting for homes and events — but was almost entirely invisible on Google. Their product pages were thin, load times were slow, and they had virtually no backlink profile. Most of their sales came from word of mouth and occasional social media posts, leaving revenue unpredictable and growth dependent on the owner's personal effort. The opportunity was clear: people searching for customised lighting, LED mood lights, and room aesthetic setups were high-intent buyers, but Homezee was not appearing for any of those searches. The site needed both a solid technical foundation and a strategy to earn authority in a niche where visual content and lifestyle appeal matter enormously.
We started with a full technical SEO audit. Core Web Vitals were the immediate priority — LCP was brought down significantly through image optimisation, lazy loading, and eliminating render-blocking resources. Product and BreadcrumbList structured data were added so Google could display rich results for Homezee's listings. On the content side, we built a keyword map targeting three tiers: high-intent product searches (e.g. 'custom neon sign Australia'), mid-funnel inspiration searches (e.g. 'aesthetic bedroom lighting ideas'), and local searches for event and party lighting hire. New product descriptions were rewritten to be both SEO-friendly and genuinely helpful to buyers making a considered purchase. For link building, we focused on quality over volume: outreach to interior design blogs, home décor publications, and event planning directories. Each placement was chosen for topical relevance, not just domain authority. A fortnightly blog publishing schedule kept fresh content indexed and supported the broader keyword cluster.
Within six months, Homezee's monthly organic traffic grew substantially, with several core product keywords reaching the first page of Google results. The structured data implementation generated rich product snippets in search, which lifted click-through rates noticeably. More importantly, the traffic quality improved — visitors arriving via organic search converted at a higher rate than those from social media, because search intent aligned closely with purchase intent. The owner now has a predictable, compounding source of new customers that grows without requiring daily personal effort.
